Montreal Steel Project — The story
Founded in 2016 by Laurie Pinard and Mathieu Girard, Projet Acier Montréal quickly established itself in the field of the manufacture of architectural steel elements. From furniture design, to stairs, to steel canopies, the company has been able to meet a growing demand for tailor-made projects.
Expertise at the service of the glass roof
In 2019, a strategic decision was made: to refocus our expertise exclusively on the manufacture and installation of interior steel canopies. The objective is ambitious but clear: to become the reference in this field. This commitment has resulted in a continuous investment in innovation and quality, thus propelling the Costal brand, which is now recognized for the quality, elegance and refinement of its steel windows.

With Costal, we are not simply offering a glass roof, but an architectural element with a unique character. Each project is tailor-made, combining aesthetics, sustainability and artisanal precision.
Ferhōm — Steel at the service of the building envelope
Building on our expertise in interior windows, we wanted to transpose the same visual impact to exterior architectural fenestration. This is how in 2024, Ferhom was born.
Steel, long shunned in northern climates, has experienced major technological advances, especially in Europe, thanks to the integration of thermal bridge breaks. These innovations now make it possible to fully exploit the unique properties of steel in the building envelope, even in harsh northern climates. With Ferhom, Projet Acier Montréal offers high-end steel fenestration solutions, combining thermal performance, aesthetics, robustness and durability.
